When we think summer in LA, we think outdoor movies.
The idea of lounging outside as dusk falls and the air cools, and sharing an oldie but goodie movie with family and friends sounds like one of summer's great treats, and the opportunities to partake have become more frequent and more widespread. A sure fire way to make Angelenos happy is to ensure they don't have to be driving all over town to special Saturday night.
One of the best line-ups is offered by Street Food Cinema, which features food trucks, live music, a movie (of course), AND a rotating location: Pasadena, Culver City, Malibu, Griffith Park, Exposition Park . . . with titles ranging from Wayne's World and Grease to Pretty in Pink and Deadpool.
If you are reading this in early July, be sure to check out the Harry Potter series July 6, 7, and 8 at The Hollywood Bowl, complete with music from the LA Phil. The link is to the entire calendar for the Bowl, so be sure to check out other opportunities for music, sing-alongs, and other special events.
Mr. C in Beverly Hills offers a Tuesday night series featuring favorites such as Jaws, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Moana.
