Wacho and Orihon Journals

Ah, the joys of an empty page. These gorgeous handmade paper notebooks from Japan delight us with their possibilities. Originally used to record visits to temples, these notebooks provide an elegant solution for myriad purposes: to showcase travel photos, house a collection of ephemera, keep a journal, or record favorite poems.

Orihon notebooks (ori "to fold" + hon "book") are created by folding a single strip of paper zig zag, or accordion, style. Wacho notebooks feature traditional Japanese stab binding. Each style is available in two sizes.

Hand made and stitched in Japan.
